WHY WE HAVE PANIABONAN HIGH SCHOOL?
Every second week of December, Paniabonan National High School has to celebrate its Founding Anniversary- a special week of the institution. It is a week of remembering in giving tribute to a man who contributed so much to our society. He emphasized the vital role of education for the achievement of societal development and progress. And so, he donated a lot which school buildings had been erected. This aims to promote a higher standard of learning. Yet, firm to his belief that education should always a right and not a privilege.
It is but proper that due recognition is given to the person who donated the area. Our thanks to the late DON CRISTITO C. TIRAMBULO and late DO A AGUEDA P. TIRAMBULO. They could not be with us today, but their legacy continues for there was yet another man who deserved equal if not greater recognition. The late JOVEN C. MIRASOL, the principal of Don Cristito C. Tirambulo Memorial Elementary School with a verbal permission from DR. METODIO M. GAPASIN, former Schools Division Superintendent of Negros Oriental opened this growing institution, THE PANIABONAN HIGH SCHOOL.
It was June of 1995 when there were only fifty-four (54) enrolled in first year and MISS GINA P. ESTANIEL, acted as class adviser. Other teachers who took part in the foundation of the pioneering class were MISS DINA BABOR and MISS BERNADETH A. MISSION, now all married and have children.
Classes were conducted in the MARCOS TYPE Building owned by the elementary department. However, the fifty-four (54) students enrolled as first year, only thirty-three (33) had successfully received the certification of completion during the First Graduation Exercise.
Since then, Paniabonan High School continues its educational services. Developments were maintained from the timers of MR. BASILIO B. LAGUNERO, previous teacher in- charge and MISS LETICIA P. TE-AD, the new school administrator of the mentioned school.
An assurance that once you’re enrolled in Paniabonan High School, everyone will be receiving individual care from the institution. All we want from you is cooperation, so, we can work together to succeed. We must continue to develop a tradition and set our minds to believe that PANIABONAN HIGH SCHOOL shapes our future.
